DW – The Snake

DW has been working with poetry for a bit.  Here is one utilizing alliteration and couplet rhyme.

The Snake

Silver moonlight shines down
All throughout the town
A snake slithers sightless, silently through the grass
Without scaring a single lass
He silently scares street dust
Discovered dawn through dust
He is found
Slithering sightless without making a sound
He tosses thoughtlessly the tongue
Good-bye snake, so long
