. . . well sort of. He joined the South Carolina chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America. Today was the annual meeting. I drove JV down to the college. It was his first time in a meeting with voting for officers. He thought “aye” was interesting. Of course, the ensuing discussion included how you set-up a “club” and “officers.” We had a long discussion about the change in departments of colleges. When I was attending, everything was in silos. Now, different departments work together to pool limited resources to bring in great speakers. Ahh. thus the life of meetings begins.
