Ctenophora – By AV

Haeckel_CtenophoraewebComb jellies are small animals that range in size from 2 to 4 inches and live as far north as Cape Cod.  Although the Comb jelly’s medusa body plan is very similar to the jelly fish’s  medusa plan, comb jellies do not alternate generations.  The comb jellies move with comb rows; comb rows are small flagellum that all move one direction to propel the comb jelly forward.
